I finally went through my Thanksgiving photos today, and I mentally ate each dish again from my computer chair. The breadstick cornucopia was an idea my mom got from one of our friends, and we made it together the night before. I had to rush at the end because I was missing Top Chef, but it turned out even more impressive-looking than I thought it would! One of the things I like most about Thanksgiving is when everyone makes their own special dish. In my family we all have our own specialties, and when all the different pieces of our dinner come together it’s the best! I always make the mac & cheese, my mom always makes her (LEGENDARY) mashed potatoes, and my sister always makes the pies. This year the three of us really out did ourselves with SIX courses (the cheese course beautifully made by Stephen) including cold appetizers! hot appetizers! cheese! soup! TURKEY dinner! dessert! The unfortunate consequence is that I just didn’t have time to run around photographing everything. But I tried to get some photos of the highlights! Am I weird for saying I can’t wait until next year??
